16 November 2015 Three days training was held in frame of development of the new national action plan (2016-2017) for the implementation of the UN Security Council Resolutions on Women, Peace and Security

Between November12-14, with the initiative of the Human Rights Secretariat of the Administration of the Government of Georgia and assistant to the Prime Minister on human rights and gender equality issues Ms. Sopo Japaridze with the support of UN-Women in Georgia, national coordination group for implementation of the Georgia's 2012-2015 National Action Plan for UN Security Council Resolutions 1325, 1820, 1888, 1889 and 1960 on Women, Peace and Security, received the training.

The training was conducted by the international experts and was aiming to raise the capacity of the national coordination group as well as elaboration of the new action plan for 2016-2017. The day first of the training was dedicated to the development of the road map and improvement of the main outputs and outcome of the second national action plan. Second day was devoted to the development and the specificity of the indicators for the action plan. The final day incorporated working on costing and budgeting for the new actin play and the discussion on the way forward. 

It is important to highlight that from 2015 the coordination mechanism for the implementation of the Georgia's 2012-2015 National Action Plan for UN Security Council Resolutions 1325, 1820, 1888, 1889 and 1960 on Women, Peace and Security, was delegated from the Gender Equality Council of the Parliament of Georgia to the executive branch.
